Does anyone believe Moyes would have started Diangana anyway?
Nothing I have seen from Moyes would suggest Grady would have been a decent run in the team anyway.

Look at yesterday. Leaves Haller on the bench, plays a winger up front, puts Fornals out wide and plays Noble as a number 10.

Doesn’t have either Cullen or Coventry on the bench despite having no other centre mid options beyond Rice and Soucek.

He talks about the RB Leipzig model but nothing suggests he has any interest in giving young players a chance and would rather play the senior players out of position instead.

Re: Does anyone believe Moyes would have started Diangana anyway?
Just what was in their minds when they decided to sell him?

Money? No, can't be. Cut price transfer fee.

Wanted out? No, he wanted to stay.

So what was it?

Re: Does anyone believe Moyes would have started Diangana anyway?
Vicky that’s not the point, we need a squad and he would be a good solid squad member. Look at tonight’s game for example. He would have started and is the type of player that can win is such games. Also to push the first 11 for places.

I think moyes signed off on Diangana sale.
FFS.. How can the same group of players look and act so defeated after the end of last season?
Moyes and his muppets need to at least try and get the team playing to Haller's and Andersons strengths...at least try ffs.. that's what concerns me, he has just gone with the easy option of what came off at the end of last season.
they are being payed handsomely, they have all the fookin badges, so show us SOMETHING

Diangana couldn’t hold down a first team place in the Championship last season.

Would have made no difference yesterday

No chance he would have started. Shame, with him on left and Bowen on right Haller would have got some service and looked like a striker again.

In answer to the opening post, we’ll never know

He played Fredericks above Johnson, brings on Anderson after 88 minutes, plays at home without a recognised striker in the line up!

Agreed, I'm kind of happy for Diangana that he managed to escape from this circus. Moyes is a young player's nightmare. Especially attacking ones.

Re: Does anyone believe Moyes would have started Diangana anyway?
In his last full season in this league he finished rock bottom.

He’s stock is so low he’s unemployable everywhere else in world football.

He thinks having a coach who once put a goalkeeper up front when he was a Manager is a good idea.

He averages around a point a game.

I don’t think it matters whether he would have played him or not to be honest.
